Basic Lecture For AI Beginners
Most people are using AI the wrong way.
We are learning to adapt to a world where AI is slowly replacing some of our tasks.
And we must adapt. Or we will be replaced.
Replaced by AI?
NO, we will be replaced by people who use AI effectively.
This is the main theory.
The problem is that many people are using AI tools in the wrong way.
Are you one of them?
What Are AI Tools?
There are three main types of AI tools you are using every day.
First, we have tools that work by themselves. These are the chatbots ready to help you.
You can talk to them directly on their websites. Some popular ones are ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
They can help you write better or answer your questions.
Next, we have AI that is integrated into other programs. Think about writing in Google Docs. You can ask the AI right there to help make your writing better. You don't need to go to another website.
Last, we have special AI tools made just for one job. I'll give you an example. Some hospitals use AI to find sick patients faster than doctors can alone. These tools are really good at one job.

Writer RAG tool: build production-ready RAG apps in minutes
RAG in just a few lines of code? We’ve launched a predefined RAG tool on our developer platform, making it easy to bring your data into a Knowledge Graph and interact with it with AI. With a single API call, writer LLMs will intelligently call the RAG tool to chat with your data.
Integrated into Writer’s full-stack platform, it eliminates the need for complex vendor RAG setups, making it quick to build scalable, highly accurate AI workflows just by passing a graph ID of your data as a parameter to your RAG tool.
Learn To Talk to AI Better?
I learned something really important.
AI needs more help understanding what you want than a person does.
This is because it used a generative AI technology.
It means it has the data, but you need to give it instructions.
Let me show you what I mean.
If I tell my friend "Find me a good restaurant," my friend knows I don't eat processed food because they know me.
But AI doesn't know this about me.
I need to say "Find me a good restaurant that is using organic food" to get the right answer.
Here's another example.
If I want AI to help me ask for a raise at work, I should tell it:
How much money I make now
How well I'm doing at my job
What other people in my job usually get paid
The more information you give AI, the better it can help you.
Breaking Big Tasks into Small Steps
When you have a big job to do, it helps to break it into smaller pieces.
This works really well with AI.
Let's say you want to write a letter for a job application.
Instead of asking AI to write the whole letter at once, try this:
First, ask AI to help you write just the opening
Then, ask it to help with the middle part
Last, ask for help with the ending
This way works much better than trying to do everything at once.
What AI Can't Do Well
You should understand that AI tools can't do perfectly.
Here are three big things to watch out for:
AI can make mistakes about facts. Sometimes it creates fake information. This is why you should always check what it tells you, especially about important things like health advice.
AI doesn't know about very new things. If something happened last week, AI might not know about it yet.
AI can copy the wrong ideas from its training. If it learned from information that wasn't fair to some people, it might repeat those unfair ideas.
Is This Really Important?
AI tools are here to make our jobs simpler.
And we MUST learn how to use them.
It can make as more effective and mostly…
It can save us from being replaced.
AI can help you write better, learn new things, and solve problems. But only if you use them the right way!
I use AI tools every day now.
They help me analyze data faster. They explain things I don't understand. They even help me plan my work better.
The key is to think of AI as an assistant, not a magic solution.
When you understand this, you can use AI in ways that really help you.
If you want to use AI the right way, tell AI all the important details.
Help it understand what you want.
And always check its answers.
Just start small with one or two tools, and learn how to use them more effectively.
