Is It Possible to Start a YouTube Channel Only With AI Tools?

YouTube and AI: With rapidly advancing AI technology, many people wonder if they can use AI to start a YouTube channel.

The good news is, that it is possible.

Even better news is that it can be done almost for free. Almost.

Let's explore the options you have.

(By the way, I have already tested creating such videos; you can check one of the videos here.)

Idea: What Will Your Videos Be About?

First, you need to decide what your videos will be about.

What do you like? What are you good at? Maybe you love cooking, telling jokes, or talking about movies.

Whatever it is, that can be the topic of your channel.

To help you come up with ideas, you can use AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude.

These are probably the best tools you can use.

You can ask them questions like:

"What are some fun video ideas about cooking?"

"Can you give me topics for funny joke videos?"

These AI chatbots will give you lots of ideas.

Pick the ones you like best!

Script Writing: Planning What You'll Say

Now that you have your idea, it's time to plan what you'll say in your video.

This is called writing a script.

You don't have to write every word, but it helps to have a plan.

You can use ChatGPT or Claude again for this.

Tell them your video idea and ask for help making a simple script. For example:

"Can you help me write a simple script for a 5-minute video about making pancakes?"

The AI will give you a basic plan for your video.

You can change it to make it sound more like you. And I highly recommend it.

Always edit the script, and add your personality to it.

Voice Over: Making Your Voice Sound Great

Some people like to talk in their videos. Others prefer to use a voice over.

A voice over is when you record your voice separately and add it to your video later.

There are AI tools that can help with voice overs too.

Two good ones are called ElevenLabs, and Murf.

I personally like ElevenLabs, because it is cheaper than Murf and allows you to clone your voice.

However, all these tools work on the same principle.

You paste the script into the tool, and select the voice and it turns it into a speech.

You can even choose different voices, speeds, or intonation.

Video Editing: Putting Your Video Together

Video editing means putting all the parts of your video together.

This can be tricky, but AI tools make it easier.

Two helpful AI video editors are inVideo and Pictory.

These tools can:

  • Add your voice over to your video

  • Add stock photos and videos to your video

  • Put in music and sound effects

  • Add text on the screen

  • Make your video look better

With these tools, you don't need to be an expert to make your video look good.

They have simple buttons and options to help you.

YouTube Thumbnail: Making an Eye-Catching Picture

A thumbnail is a small picture people see before they click on your video. It's important to make it look good so people want to watch.

You can use AI tools like Canva or Simplified to make great thumbnails.

These tools have:

  • Lots of picture choices

  • Easy ways to add text

  • Simple editing tools

Just pick a template you like, add your own words and pictures, and you're done!

Remember, everyone starts somewhere.

Even big YouTubers had to make their first video once.

I don't say to use all the tools, nor do I suggest going all-in on AI.

Just use some of them as a help.

With these AI tools, you have a great head start!

And have a nice day,
